The comeback begins.
This week’s episode of SmackDown Live opened the only way it could. Daniel Bryan was showered with “welcome back” chants from the entire American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, and the SmackDown General Manager took to the mic to address the crowd.
Bryan talked about being grateful for his two year retirement from the ring. The balance between being grateful for what he had done and being depressed for his forced early retirement was a constant battle.
Part of what drove Bryan to keeping seeking out specialist was the encouragement of his wife, Brie Bella. Bryan got emotional, understandably, about his long road back to being officially cleared by WWE doctors.
As teared filled his eyes, Bryan thanked everyone who helped him get back to this point.
Bryan then addressed when fans will see him back in the ring. The 36-year-old did not give a specific date but he did give the WrestleMania 34 sign a good, long look.
Welcome back, Bryan.
