One week after Alexa Bliss put fire to her friendship with Nia Jax, the Raw women’s champion got her shot at Asuka’s streak. Feeling snubbed by the 2018 women’s Royal Rumble winner, Bliss wanted her crack at Asuka before she moved over to challenge SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34.
Before the match-up, Bliss took to the mic to further bury her past friendship with Jax.

To the surprise of everyone, when the opening bell rang it was all Bliss. The women’s champion dominated the opening 10 minutes of the match. Bliss controlled every aspect in the early going but slowly became frustrated that she could not put away “The Empress of Tomorrow.”

Asuka was able to turn the tide when a pin attempt from Bliss turned into a nasty ankle submission attempt. Following the submission from Asuka, Bliss rolled out of the ring and took the countout loss.
Attempting to limp up the ramp to safety, Bliss and Mickie James ran right into Jax, who bulldozed straight through James and nearly caught up to Bliss on several occasions.

Following her narrow escape, Alexa went to Raw General Manager Kurt Angle to campaign for Nia to be suspended, or maybe even arrested. He responded by booking them in a match at WrestleMania 34 on Sun., April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
It’s on.
