With no clear direction heading into WrestleMania 34 next month, despite a massive push over the past year or so, Braun Strowman was booked to enter himself into a tag team battle royal to determine who would wrestle Cesaro & Sheamus for the Raw tag team titles at the big event on Sun., April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
And he won.
By himself.
This was, of course, deemed “controversial” because A) he’s not a tag team and, B) he wasn’t even supposed to be in the match to begin with. Now, WWE is teasing we’ll get some resolution to this on Raw this week:
Raw General Manager Kurt Angle has a lot on his plate going into this year’s Show of Shows — including his Mixed Tag Team Match with Ronda Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon — but he’ll need to sort out Strowman’s Road to WrestleMania sooner than later. Will Angle rule in favor of The Monster Among Men, or will all of Team Red suffer the consequences if Strowman doesn’t get his way?
Some believe Big Show should return to be his partner while rumors suggest Elias could be in line for the spot. I’m of the opinion he goes it alone and becomes the one-man tag team champions. His push justifies a main event slot and if he can’t be involved in the Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns Universal title match, this makes up for it. It would also make the tag team title match unique, giving it a way to stand out on a crowded card filled with stars.
We’ll see what happens tomorrow night on Raw.

It’s going to be Kane, isn’t it?
