Batista hasn’t accepted a WWE Hall of Fame invite because ‘I just don’t feel like my career is over’

This year’s Hall of Fame has its headliner in Bill Goldberg, and this year’s WrestleMania has all of its big matches booked. Neither include Batista, who is still off being a big movie star (the new trailer for Avengers: Infinity War is incredible). But he still wants to come back to WWE at some point and that’s actually why he hasn’t accepted an invite into the Hall of Fame.

Dave Bautista (Batista) says his in-ring career with the WWE isn't over and states "he's been very vocal on wanting to return". One last run?

“I would love to go back. I’ve been very vocal about that. Never say never. This is why I haven’t accepted any nomination to the WWE Hall of Fame, because I just don’t feel like my career is over. I still feel like I have plenty to offer. Now it’s a scheduling issue and it’s also a creative issue. Never say never. I’d love to go back.”

That almost implies he’s been asked about joining the Hall of Fame and said “no.” Either way, this is the same tune he’s been singing for some time. With WWE maybe moving on from part-timer Brock Lesnar soon, perhaps we can expect they’ll finally be willing to play ball with Batista to give him that last run.

Maybe next year.
