It’s been rumored for a while, and we just didn’t want to believe it. But in a brief exclusive from Billboard, it was made official today.
Kid Rock is going into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame at the induction ceremony on April 6 in New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center.
The brevity of the report is telling, because Kid Rock hasn’t done a whole lot with WWE over his career. Most celebrity Hall of Famers work an angle or two - heck, even the President of the United States had to “buy” Raw and play barber at WrestleMania. Rock is getting in for performing at The Showcase of the Immortals in 2009 and working a Tribute To The Troops or two.
But, it’s Vince McMahon’s club, and the Chairman probably likes to get his pump on to “Bawitdaba”.
Plus, Kid Rock is willing to say nice things about The ‘E and pro wrestling sports entertainment!
“Every time I go to a WWE event I always have a good time; there is nothing like it and no better fans in the world. The Hall of Fame ceremony will be a fun night and it will be great to see everyone again. I have so much respect for what those guys and girls do. I’m grateful to WWE for letting me be a part of WrestleMania weekend.”
Guess that’s enough.
