WWE Fastlane 2018 results: Bludgeon Bros bust up another potential New Day/Usos classic

Once they were done auditioning to host the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in a fun commercial, The New Day took the ring in Columbus, Ohio to face their longtime rivals The Usos in hopes of becoming five-time WWE tag champs. On the line at Fastlane on Mar. 11 was not only the belts Jimmy and Jey carried into Nationwide Arena, but also the opportunity to bring them to WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans next month.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods represented the challengers, and the fact this is the sixth championship match between these teams was evident from the jump. The Usos used New Day’s moves like Unicorn Stampede, Kofi’s Boom Drop and even their Midnight Hour finisher. Running hip attacks from New Day were followed by Xavier Woods throwing superkicks like an Uso and Kingston flying with a Samoan Splash from the top.

It was fun while it lasted. But after Double Uce was thwarted and the brothers flew to the outside onto all three Princes of Positivity, it was time for a bludgeoning.

Harper and Rowan stormed to ringside while all five men were recovering, and hammers in hand, they set to annihilating EVERYONE! The final exclamation point was powerbombing Woods onto the steel steps.

Something tells me ‘Mania got another Triple Threat.
