Luke Harper on the SmackDown tag team division: ‘It’s fresh blood’s time’

New, comments

Later on tonight (Sun., Mar. 11, 2018) at WWE Fastlane in Columbus, Ohio, The Usos will defend the SmackDown tag team titles against The New Day. It will probably be a fun match but we’ve seen these teams wrestle each other time and time again, and the other top contending team in the division, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin, have also been in the top spot quite often.

In his interview with Busted Open Radio, Luke Harper of the Bludgeon Brothers puts it really well:

“I think the SmackDown tag team division is flying right now. Shelton and Gable, they got New Day and Usos, who are primed. The thing is, I think they need the fresh blood, I think they need us to do this for them because they’ve all been wrestling each other many, many times. It’s fresh blood’s time, it’s our time, and I couldn’t be more pleased to be in there. We had matches with The Usos, I think, three years ago now that were some of the best of my career and I can’t wait to do it again.”

There are plenty of fresh match-ups once you throw Harper and Erick Rowan into the mix. They’ve been teasing a title shot against The Usos for a couple of weeks now on television. It’s only a matter of time before they pull the trigger.

WrestleMania, here they come...
