Tyler Breeze says Breezango is trying to transition away from Fashion Files

From an interview with Planeta Wrestling, while discussing what went into creating Fashion Files:

“It was kind of a mix of opinions. Like I said, it was just kind of one of those things where we were both kind of trying to figure out what our chemistry was and all of a sudden we just started throwing ideas out there, and one of them was to be the Fashion Police. We just kind of started figuring out little ideas, and we filmed little videos, and then all of a sudden it just kind of took off. We just had a lot of fun with it and other people would join in on it and they would have fun with it and all of a sudden it became a thing. It was on every week on SmackDown for about eight months. We’re still doing it now but we’re kind of trying to transition and focus onto some other stuff but it definitely played a big part in kind of getting some momentum behind us.”

There was a time not all that long ago that WWE was putting plenty of creative effort into Fashion Files, especially after it gained some measure of mainstream media attention when a Twin Peaks parody went viral. Breezango even managed to earn a title shot at one point but it was played for comedy and they’ve struggled to find consistent footing in storylines for television.

Of late, they’ve been relegated to the WWE YouTube channel. And while Fashion Files is still a fun show, moving away from it is almost certainly in the best interest of the careers of the two stars of it, Breeze and Fandango.

Still, it will be sad to see it go.
