Mixed Match Challenge Week 4

Geno here. Let us do this.

Jimmy and Naomi out first, and Jim was real happy to get to dance around in the glow lights. Who wouldn’t be? Looks like a lot of fun.

Mandy is still using Paige’s entrance theme. She fits right in with Goldust somehow, who spent his entrance shooting her on an invisible camera. Shattered Dreams Productions and all that.

Jim & Naomi vs. Goldust & Mandy

Daniel Bryan won the fan vote to be special guest referee. He crushed Kurt Angle. He also came out wearing the high ponytail, which makes me absurdly happy.

He made sure to shake hands with each competitor before starting the match.

When I say “started” I mean Jimmy danced, Bryan tried to follow suit, and Goldust proceeded to ruin it by dancing terribly. That’s when they started in on the offense. Goldust ran the ropes but quickly lost his breath, explaining to Jimmy that “I’m a lot older than you are.”

Mandy called Goldust over and he kissed her hand. To prove they were also a good team, Jim and Naomi did the same. So Goldust went over and gave Mandy a hug. Again, Jim and Naomi did the same. Seeing an opportunity to win this little challenge, Jim and Naomi then kissed on the lips. They’re married, of course. The fans responded by chanting “yes,” anticipating what was next. The match broke down completely at this point, with Jim even helping check Goldust’s breath before he went over to try to kiss Mandy. She looked like she was enthusiastically going to go for it too, but Jimmy swerved him and came up behind to roll him up.

Bryan was so upset about this, he wouldn’t count the pinfall.

Goldust was also pissed and he tagged out to Mandy, who got in and whipped her hair at Naomi. That got her put down on her ass before she also ran into the bit where Naomi uses her legs to push her ass in her opponent’s face in the corner. Naomi was firmly in control, all while Rusev and Lana were in the comments on Facebook misspelling their names.

Rose took over on offense while Beth Phoenix chastised Corey Graves for reducing her to eye candy. He claimed he wasn’t doing so and said she’s incredibly talented, so that just makes it all the better that she’s also beautiful. Beth still told him to play it straight.

Shortly after, Mandy slapped Jim in the face while he was on the outside. A double clothesline followed and that led to a tag. Jim got in and ran wild on Goldust before Mandy broke up a tag. They did some tandem offense, with the Usos hitting enziguris while Goldust and Mandy hit running powerslams.

It looked like Goldust was about to score a pin but Naomi broke it up. They did some running around with a couple high spots before Goldust took the Rear View and a Frog Splash. Jim pinned him and that was that.

Jim Uso & Naomi def. Goldust & Mandy Rose

Immediately after the pinfall, Rusev and Lana came out.

Rusev wanted to make clear Jim and Naomi are not the best couple in WWE but Rusev and Lana are. He tried to get the crowd singing Lana’s social media song “Lana is the best, Lana number one.” Like 12 people went for it.

Lana then told us they are going to crush Elias and Bayley next week. Then they’ll celebrate everyone’s favorite day — RUSEV DAY.

They ran a promo where Elias played guitar and Bayley tried to sing. He shut her down. She asked for a hug. He shut her down again.

See you next week!
