CM Punk to be second best WWE alum hosting new season of Netflix’s Ultimate Beastmaster

Check out these renaissance men over here.

Netflix’s reality competition series, Ultimate Beastmaster, will be returning for a third season, the streaming service announced today (Feb. 27). And these nine episodes of the global obstacle course race will have a decidedly pro wrestling flavor, thanks to two of the regional celebrity hosts.

In addition to featuing competitors from around the globe, Ultimate Beastmaster features regional celebrity hosts who provide commentary on the events. For season three, Netflix has enlisted Phil “CM Punk” Brooks to their U.S. announce team, and Stu “Wade Barrett” Bennett to the first ever United Kingdom delegation.

At least there will be some decorum to the proceedings.

Punk will be teamed with the returning Tiki Barber, a retired NFL player and radio personality. Barrett partners with Kate Abdo, who covers football (soccer) for Fox Sports.

Hollywood Reporter has the full details on the hosts from all nine countries here.

Will this interfere with Punk’s goal of getting another UFC fight? Bennett’s kayfabe management of Defiant Wrestling?

Get excited, Ninja Warrior Beastmaster fans! And stay tuned, fans of guys who used to take part in scripted fights!
