The road to the Intercontinental Championship still runs through The Miz. Tonight (Feb. 26) on Raw, WWE scheduled an announcement to reveal exactly who Miz would defend the title against at WrestleMania 34.
Before fans found out who he would be facing, the champion cut a promo and he had a California sized chip on his shoulder.

Due to the disrespect and under appreciation shown to him by WWE management, The Miz cut a great promo and nearly lost himself in the process.
Then Rollins came out to clear the Intercontinental title scene up a little bit.

Coming off an iron man week from Rollins, neither WWE nor the Raw announce team clarified what would happen if The Kingslayer defeated Miz tonight. Still carrying over the momentum from last week’s Gauntlet match, Rollins did not miss a beat but to his credit Miz kept up with him step-for-step.

Monday Night Rollins was in full effect as The Architect stole the show. After rolling out of a Skull Crushing Finale, Rollins took out The Miztourage on the outside and then pinned the champ with a spectacular frog splash for the three count. As The Miz laid near the opposite turnbuckle Rollins nearly went coast-to-coast with his top rope finishing move.
Post-match, while Rollins was still celebrating, Finn Balor’s music hit and the leader of The Balor Club basically walked all over the winner’s segment.

With Balor already in the ring, Kurt Angle booked his Intercontinental champion in a match immediately after losing his bout to Rollins.

Staring down an 0-2 night, The Miz tried but was out done by a fresh Finn. After Coup de Grace hit on the center of Miz’s chest, Balor picked up the victory.
