The first match or matches won’t air until March 7, but NXT General Manager William Regal is continuing to promote his next tournament by releasing the bracket for the third Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in advance.
As expected, it’s a smaller field than the 16 team ones which filled out the first two Dusty Classics. That’s likely because there aren’t as many teams who’ve been on our screens, and because with the winner getting a title shot at TakeOver: New Orleans on April 7, they don’t have time to do four rounds.
Being packed with teams fans are familiar with does make it harder to predict, especially since the finals of the 2016 Dusty Classic (they didn’t hold one during the last calendar year) is being rematched in round one:

Let us know who you’re got advancing for a shot at Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly of Undisputed ERA on WrestleMania weekend. And why you think Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe have to earn a championship opportunity when they still haven’t had a real rematch after losing the belts in December.
