Even in a sweat suit Paul Heyman is magic on the mic. Today (Feb. 22) the advocate for the current WWE Universal Champion gave the best promo live from an airport baggage claim you will hear all day.
Thanks to these “man on the streets” style of interviews, the opportunity was presented early and often for Heyman to just bury the camera guy. Instead when asked about Brock Lesnar’s current contract status with the WWE and the likelihood he takes another UFC fight, Paul Heyman took the kind (and high) road.
“I think Brock Lesnar does whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do. If Brock Lesnar wants to fight in UFC, Brock Lesnar will fight in UFC. If Brock Lesnar wants to fight in WWE, he will fight in WWE. Just ask Braun Strowman. Ask Randy Orton. Ask The Undertaker. Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do.”
Heyman also touched on the subjects of Lesnar’s chances versus the current crop of UFC heavyweights, advocating for Ronda Rousey and for some reason New York Knicks center Enes Kanter.
All eyes will be on Brock Lesnar in the lead up to and fallout of WrestleMania 34. Lesnar’s current run with the WWE is closing in on six years. Is there a place for 40-year-old part time Beast? The same Lesnar who often bottlenecks the WWE’s biggest title whenever he has it around his waist.
The odds of The Beast Incarnate returning to the UFC, signing another contract with the WWE or retiring to the life farming the lands of Canada all seem dead even. Right now are we looking at the final months of Brock Lesnar’s pro wrestling career?
