The tag scene is just one confusing facet of the confusing world of SmackDown Live.
Take Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin. They constantly whine about the deck being stacked against them, but the deck is consistently being stacked against them. Are they babyfaces? Heels? Complaining isn’t a heroic trait, but they’re right every time they complain. Which, come to think of it, probably makes them heels in WWE (see also: Rusev, The Miz).
I’m not someone who believes it has to be cut and dry, but it’s confusing when The Usos (who are kind of fan favorites) and The New Day (who are definitely faces) both cut corners. Rusev Day are beloved characters/performers who are definitely working rudo. At least we can all agree that Breezango are good guys... on the rare occassions they get to wrestler.
Anyway - back to Gable and Benjamin. They were again dorked out of a title shot on the blue brand last night (Feb. 20) when a distraction by Kofi Kingston caused the referee to miss a pin by Shelton on Big in their #1 contender’s match. So, Chad made a video and tweeted about it:
I guess they don’t use instant replay when it’s @Sheltyb803 and I getting screwed.

That’s okay. I did it for them. Complete with footage from the ref’s actual 3 count later in the evening as proof.

Does that make them heels? Faces? I have no idea! But I’m positive it makes for a Triple Threat at Fastlane on March 11 in Columbus, Ohio.
Until definite bad guys Harper and Rowan bludgeon their way into a Fatal 4Way that is.
