Night time’s flyers feel their pains, drugstore takes down the chains. Metal motion comes in bursts, but the gas station can quench that thirst. Suspension cracked on unmade road, the trucker’s eyes read overload... And out on the subway-- Rael, imperial aerosol kid, exits into daylight, spraygun hid, but me, I’m just here to liveblog this wrestling show, folks.

The show opens with a moment of silence to pay respect to the victims of the recent shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Roman Reigns makes his entrance and is interviewed in the ring before his gauntlet match. He says he has no worries about tonight, but he’s concered about the Elimination Chamber match. He’s never been in the match before, but he sees how brutal is, but not only that but he’s going to be facing the best, toughest guys in the world. All those guys have one thing in common-- they can’t beat Brock Lesnar, but he can.

Enter Seth Rollins, ready to start the gauntlet, Shield brother against Shield brother.

Braun Strowman vs. Elias vs. Finn Balor vs. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. the Miz (Gauntlet Match)

Circling, collar and elbow, Reigns forces Rollins into the corner and breaks clean at referee John Cone’s command. Back to the lockup, Roman with a wristlock, Seth rolls through but the Big Dog is able to grab a side headlock and take him down. The Architect posts on a knee and to his feet, Roman takes him back down, headscissors escape, Reigns right back out and into another side headlock takeover!

Shot off, the Big Dog knocks him down with a shoulder block, drop down, leap frog, Rollins with an arm drag into La Casita, no good, backslide attempt, gets two, kick to the gut, off the ropes but Reigns gets in his face as we go to break.

Back from commercial and Reigns again has Rollins locked down with a side headlock. Seth gets up, runs the ropes, right into an elbow, and Roman presses the attack into the corner with punches. Backed into the ropes, Rollins gets boots and elbows up, pops up, diving blockbuster, duck the lariat, Sling Blade connects, Seth’s knee is bugging him but he’s rolling.

Up and over in the corner, springboard elbow, and he clotheslines the Big Dog to the floor. Going for a dive, Roman cuts him off with the big slicing right and follows it up with Drive-By on a staggered Rollins. Back inside, off the ropes with a lariat, corner lariats to follow, finishing the sequence with a Mafia kick. Superman Punch denied, ripcord knee countered with a headbutt!

Back from commercial, Rollins perches atop the turnbuckles, looking for a Frog Splash but Reigns rolls to the side! Slowly back to their feet, Seth throwing forearms unanswered for a while, Roman returns them but ends up dumped outside and hit with the suicide dive! A second time to try and seal the deal! Looking to springboard back in, Superman Punch... ROLLINS BARELY KICKS OUT!

The Big Dog lies in wait and howls but Seth counters the spear with a knee! Superkick, looking for Blackout, trading pins, Rollins gets the momentum...

Seth with a lariat out the gates, only good for two and we go to break.

Back from commercial and Cena has an arm-trap side headlock applied, wrenching it back into a neck crank, taking Seth back down when he tries to escape the first time. Rollins gets out, off the ropes, right into a wicked right from the 16-time world champion! Back on his feet, another right, hammer whip puts him hard into the turnbuckles, and John grabs a reverse chinlock.

Adding a bodyscissors, trying to grind the life out of the Architect but he’s able to pry his legs apart and try to escape. Cena holds on and adjusts his grip but Rollins is able to get to his feet, so he clubs him with a forearm and comes off the ropes with a boot to the head before dumping him to the floor and into the barricade. Seth takes his time coming back in but beats the count, and John clobbers him with a boot to the head.

On his feet again, one belly-to-belly suplex, another, a third, only good for a nearfall and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Cena with the fireman’s carry, Seth slips out, kick to the gut, DDT... only a nearfall! Desperate right hands, John ducks a lariat, World’s Strongest Slam clutch swung out into an Ace Crusher! Rollins pulling himself up and asking for more while Cena looks on, a single straight right drops the Architect back to his knees. Another punch, referee Dan Engler checks on Seth but he’s not giving up.

John fired up, runs a literal circle around Rollins, weaves away from a punch, right hand, cover... OUT AT ONE! Seth fired up, shoving, we got a slugfest, punch for punch in the middle of the ring but Cena wipes him out with a back elbow for another nearfall! Off the ropes, a back elbow knocks Seth to the floor and John seems happy to take the count-out victory.

Kick to the gut, Avada Kedavra... NOT ENOUGH! Cena to the apron, Rollins tries to suplex him in but John reverses him to the apron. Sidestepping a charge, Seth eats post but is able to get out of the way and Cena goes hard into the steps himself!

Referee Dan Engler counting... BOTH MEN BARELY BEAT THE COUNT! Cena blocks a punch and returns a few of his own, duck the lariat, fall-forward Blue Thunder Driver, “You can’t see me!”, Five Knuckle Shuffle, fireman’s carry, reversed to a sunset flip... Elias runs down as the fourth man and makes the cover but Seth has fight left in him! Samson with stomps and a knee, still not able to put Rollins away! Whip off, back elbow, another cover and another nearfall to send us to break!

Back from commercial, Elias has a half-crab locked on in the middle of the ring.

Cena is interviewed picture-in-picture style and puts Rollins over but says he made a sympathetic mistake and forgot that Seth only has to focus on wrestling and he has to balance his various responsibilities. He reiterates that he needs to win at Elimination Chamber to have a path to WrestleMania.

Elias legs go and referee John Cone checks on Seth for a moment. The drifter on the leg, stomping at the knee, Rollins tries to counter a double leg by popping onto his feet and his legs give out from under him and Elias has the opportunity to wrench his knee over the middle rope! Trading chops in the corner, Seth is able to get the momentum and clobber the Drifter with forearms, but one kick to the knee sets him down.

The Drifter heads up top, diving double axehandle, he takes Balor to the apron and snaps his arm over the corner of the ring shortly after.

Clawing at Finn’s face, backhammer into the turnbuckles, keeping the pressure up but he can’t put Balor away. Back to the armbar, standing this time, Finn fights to his feet but Elias takes him right back down. Again Balor to his feet, he gets free, off the ropes, trading forearms, Pele kick connects and both men are laid out on the mat. Finn to the corner, shaking life into his arm, boot up, running forearms, whip reversed but a flying forearm wipes Samson out!

Front chancery again, letting him think about it before hitting a second basement DDT... STILL NO! Another quick cover comes up empty, the A-Lister circles and sits Balor up before coming off the ropes with a boot to the face! Another one, followed by a third, he still can’t put Finn away!

Finn with right hands, whip reversed, kitchen sink knee and Miz throws him outside and poses for the crowd! Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel circle around but think better of it and referee John Cone warns them off. Miz puts Balor into the barricade before setting him on the apron and wrenching his arm over the ropes... AND FALLING BACK TO SNAP IT OVER THE BOTTOM AS WE GO TO BREAK!

Back from commercial, Miz has a kneeling armbar locked in as Elias is interviewed picture-in-picture.

He says he’ll have a clear cut advantage and there will be five Rollins out there, and he’ll pick up the scraps before giving his greatest performance on the greatest stage of all and show everyone what WWE stands for.
