Dolph Ziggler returns to SmackDown, earns a spot in WWE title match

@WWE

The story of Dolph Ziggler took another turn Tuesday (Feb. 13) on SmackDown. Originally booked into a match with Baron Corbin that opened the episode, Ziggler ended up main eventing Tuesday night versus Sami Zayn.

After Kevin Owens and Zayn jumped both Ziggler and Corbin before their match, Shane McMahon booked the four men in single matches with the right to win their way into the Fastlane main event on the line.

Corbin won earlier in the night over Owens then Ziggler got his crack at Zayn. The Showoff even cut a passionate backstage promo before the match.

Once Ziggler and Zayn locked horns their in-ring chemistry did not disappoint.

With the match hanging in the balance Sami Zayn hit an exploder suplex in the corner then went in for his Helluva Kick finisher, only to have it countered by Dolph Ziggler with an on the button superkick.

Ziggler would pick up the 1-2-3 and win his way into the Fastlane main event.

The Fastlane pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Mar. 11, 2018, at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

The main event of Fastlane now will be a fatal-five-way featuring WWE Champion AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler is back but what are the odds he brings home WWE gold at Fastlane?
