John Cena wins on Raw, forces The Miz to enter the Chamber at number one

@WWE

John Cena does not suck. To open tonight’s (Feb. 12) Monday Night Raw, the face that runs place took to the center of the ring to cut a promo in front of the San Jose crowd.

The “hottest free agent” in the WWE, Cena’s speech began with him hyping up the importance of WrestleMania. Cena laid all his cards out on the table and basically said without a win at the Elimination Chamber, he has no road to Mania.

Then The Miz came out and decided to run Cena’s nose into his recent struggles. Miz even claimed he was a better match-up versus Brock Lesnar.

In the need for some kind of stakes for their confrontation, Cena offered up a ‘loser enters the Chamber first’ match at the feet of Miz. The Hollywood A-Lister disagreed then agreed after The Miztourage jumped and beat down the leader of Cenation.

With the Miztourage banned from ringside, The Miz raced out to a early lead. A fisherman suplex, sleeper hold and figure four leglock were some of the offense the IC champ used to wear down Cena.

A tornado DDT, STF attempt and even an AA in the middle of the ring was not enough for Cena to put away The Miz. After his failed Attitude Adjustment, Cena got caught again in another figure four submission. Cena countered the figure four submission into a STF, only for The Miz to hit his Skull Curshing Finale but only for a two count.

Two finisher kick outs in the opening match of Raw, how often does that happen?

With both men looking desperate, The Miz went for a questionable Skull Crushing Finale off the top rope. Miz’s failed attempt resulted in a top rope AA and the three count win for John Cena.

The Miz will now enter the Chamber in the number one slot.

The Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Feb. 25, 2018, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

John Cena implied he needs to win in the Chamber to get to Mania, with Braun and Roman in the match, does The Champ have a shot to have his hand raised at the Elimination Chamber.
