WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR FEB. 12

All that we suffer through leads to determination, the trials we all go through give us the strength to carry on. Something within us burns, desire feeds the will to live. A reason to believe I will see redemption, but for now, I’m gonna liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with Michael Cole welcoming us and John Cena making his entrance.

Cena says the past is the past but we’re right here on the road to WrestleMania and you can feel the energy, people jumping up and down in their seats because they know how important WrestleMania is. Watching at home or in the audience tonight, we all know what WrestleMania means. WrestleMania can make a superstar’s careeer and bring a legend back from the dead.

Tonight, he’s out here to face the truth, and the truth is in two weeks, he has to win the Elimination Chamber match. He understands that comes with mixed emotions, but the truth is, if he doesn’t win, for the first time in fifteen years he’s not sure he has a road to WrestleMania. So all those opposed to him winning, let him tell you his road to WrestleMania out loud.

He has to survive the most unwinnable match in WWE history to face the most unbeatable champion in WWE history, and for those not on his side that sounds impossible. But whether you’re with him or not, you know he loves making the impossible absolutely possible. He will win the Elimination Chamber match and he WILL go on to beat Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania and make history.

Enter the Miz, flanked by the Miztourage. Miz is skeptical of this idea, saying this isn’t 2013, this is 2018, the year of the Miz. Maybe Cena’s spent too much time in Hollywood to where he can’t differentiate fantasy from reality, he thinks he’s gonna beat Brock when he’s the founding father of Suplex City? Miz says he’s gonna main event WrestleMania because that’s where the Intercontinental Championship belongs.

John points out a dude in the front row laughing at the idea and says literally Miz has no chance against Brock unless he misses his flight, gets food poisoning, what have you. If he actually wrestles Brock, it’ll be his last match. The A-Lister denies this and says the biggest mistake Cena made was trying to beat Brock at his own game. Miz says he’ll play to his strengths, use his brain, and he’ll win because he’ll do whatever it takes, use whatever is at his disposal, do the things other people can’t or won’t do.

That’s why he beat Roman Reigns for the Intercontinental Championship, and that’s why he’ll beat Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania. Cena points out he’s mighty overconfident for a guy who hasn’t gone through the Chamber yet and Miz points out that he beat John in the main event of WrestleMania. Cena says Miz every once in a while finds a weaselly way to back up the way he runs his mouth, and so right here, right now (Van Halen is kicking ass in America?), he wants Miz vs. John Cena.

But that’s not enough, he says, he wants the loser of their match to enter the Elimination Chamber match first! Miz asks if he thinks he’s stupid, he knows the first guy in the Chamber has the worst chance of winning. The Miztourage attack the 16-time world champion! They double team him with a back suplex combo, Miz takes his coat off and says he’ll take the chance because he’s smarter than Cena, challenge accepted!

He calls for a referee but gets Kurt Angle instead. Angle tells him to hold up, this isn’t how they’re gonna start Raw. They’ll have the match, alright, but the Miztourage are banned from ringside!

John Cena vs. the Miz

Miz with a lateral press as the bell rings... NOPE! He tries again and comes up empty again, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Miz attacks Cena from behind and knocks him off the apron and up the ramp! Breaking referee Dan Engler’s count, he heads out after John and puts him into the barricade and back inside. Headed up top, diving double axehandle, only good for two! Seated sentons as Cena tries to post to his feet, but the sixteen-time champ learns quick and gets the knees up!

Dropkick gets two, so does a fisherman suplex, Miz starts targeting John’s head with boots, and a lateral press comes up empty yet again. Set up in the corner, body blows, Engler warns the A-Lister off and backs him up and Cena counters the charge with an elbow! Tornado DDT connects, only good for two, whip reversed, Miz grabs a sleeper hold and John starts to fade!

To his knees, to the mat, Cena starts to fight back, gets to his feet, Miz hops up and grabs a loose bodyscissors to force John back to the mat, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Miz is lying in wait, ready to grab the full nelson but Cena throws him off. Fireman’s carry, Miz reverses, spinning toehold into the figure four leglock! John reverses, STF applied in the center of the ring! To the safety of the ropes, Cena draws him up but the A-Lister counters with a jawbreaker over the top rope! Headed up top once more, diving crossbody, John rolls through, pops him up, but Miz slips out, basement DDT... NOT ENOUGH!

Awesome Clothesline connects, the Intercontinental Champion is fired up, heads in with a charge, Cena counters with the Attitude Adjustment... NO GOOD! Cena up top, Miz grabs the rope to knock him down, spinning toehold again into the figure four leglock. John manages to pick Miz’s arm and turn it into an arm-trap crossface! Miz makes the ropes but both men are worse for wear, Cena hobbling to the corner, Miz from behind, Skull Crushing Finale... JOHN CENA WILL NOT GIVE UP!

Struggle in the turnbucks, Cena turns Miz around, fireman’s carry...

John Cena wins by pinfall with the avalanche Attitude Adjustment, forcing Miz to enter the Elimination Chamber match first.

Cena celebrates by giving some merch to a fan in the front row and pointing at the WrestleMania sign.

Commentary hypes up tonight’s Bayley vs. Sasha Banks and four-way Elimination Chamber qualifying match.

Matt Hardy appears and begins talking about how he has a second chance to fulfill his destiny. Standing in his way are three vessels, unaware that their second chance is already OVAH, for he has consulted the seven deities, and they’ve blessed him with the strength, power, and dexterity to render them all OBSOLETE! He declares his intent to turn the Elimination Chamber into the DELETION CHAMBER and leads a rousing chorus of “DELETE!”s to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Balor Club cut a promo. Luke Gallows says they’re pushing the Nerd-o-Meter to its limits and last week Karl Anderson and Finn Balor shut them up, and this week it’s his turn. Karl Anderson says being able to name every tag team every doesn’t do anything but make them nerds.

Balor Club make their entrance and the Revival blindside them! They take Gallows’ knee out and he struggles to get to his feet but they’re not forfeiting the match!

Balor Club (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) vs. the Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson)

Gallows and Dawson start, Luke in hot with strikes, backing him right in the corner and knocking Wilder off the apron. Big chop, big biel, another right, left-hand jabs set up the big slicing right! Big boot, back body drop on an interfering Dash, Karl takes him outside for a beating and slides back in but referee John Cone is distracted taking him out of the ring and Scott is able to hit Gallows low and send us to break.

Back from commercial, Dawson is going to work on Big Hoot’s knee, clawing and tearing. Tag to Wilder, he presses the assault, kneeling toehold, wrenching it in but the big man is able to get to his feet. Scott tags in, gets caught with a big ol’ superkickski, tags made! Anderson in hot, off the ropes, leg lariat, sidestep the charge, bicycle kick in the corner!

To the second rope, diving neckbreaker, Machine Gun is fired up! Duck a lariat from an interfering Dawson, Gallows pulls him out of the ring but gets flapjacked into the steel steps! Karl distracted going after Scott, Dash nearly rolls him up, spinning spinebuster lands home... NOT ENOUGH! Lying in wait, charging in, blind tag from Dawson, Karl attacking both guys, whip reversed, Dawson is there...

The Revival win by pinfall with Shatter Machine on Karl Anderson.

Commentary recaps the events in the tag title scene last week.

We cut to Kurt Angle walking backstage and are informed he has breaking news... after the break.

Back from commercial, Kurt Angle is in the ring.

He says he’s here with mixed emotions. In two weeks at the Elimination Chamber, Ronda Rousey will sign her WWE contract. But Monday after Raw went off the air, he and his biological son Jason Jordan went to a local medical facility where they found out Jason would need neck surgery and he’ll be missing WrestleMania. Every week he comes out here calm, cool, and collected with a smile on his face but he can’t do it anymore.

Tonight he’s talking to us as a father, and if any of you feel joy at a superstar getting injured and missing WrestleMania, we should be ashamed of ourselves, and all he wants is for us to wish Jordan well.

Enter Seth Rollins. He says he’s sorry about Jason, honestly. He was pretty hard on him last week, but he’s a good kid in a tough spot and he should know, he’s been there. A few years ago he was WWE Champion, and he won the title just a few miles up the street from here. Cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, beat Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, and shocked the world.

He was unstoppable, on top of the world, and it all came crumbling down. He tore up his knee, had to forfeit the title and miss WrestleMania. But missing WrestleMania made him realize the WrestleMania moments aren’t guaranteed. And that’s why he’s out here, WrestleMania’s around the corner and he doesn’t even have a match at Elimination Chamber. Kurt says he told him last week that’d be his last tag title shot, but maybe he was wrong.

Seth tells him thanks, but no thanks, when Angle came to Raw as GM he said he wanted Rollins to be a big piece of Raw but right now, he doesn’t want to be a part of Raw. He wants to BE Monday Night Raw, he wants to turn the place into Monday Night Rollins, to be the man one more time. He wants Brock Lesnar, he wants the Universal Championship, and he wants it at WrestleMania.

The only way he can do that is if he wins the Elimination Chamber match. Angle says he appreciates the enthusiasm but he can’t just cancel tonight’s qualifier to give him a shot. Rollins says he doesn’t want anything cancelled, he wants the four-way to be turned into a five-way with him in! Kurt says that wouldn’t be fair to the other four guys, and Seth says that’s not what he’s trying to do but his fate is in Angle’s hands.

He comes out here every single week and puts his body on the line, and Jason Jordan missing WrestleMania sucks, but that doesn’t mean he has to miss out. Kurt says honestly it’s not up to either of them, it’s up to the fans, and he polls the crowd as to whether or not Seth should be allowed into the match. Shock, the crowd wants Rollins in, and Angle makes it official.

Bray Wyatt appears in the dark room, talking about how Rollins doesn’t deserve a second chance and neither do Finn Balor, Apollo Crews, nor Matt Hardy. Hardy attacks him from behind and he has the nerve to call Wyatt vile? Matt is in need of help, and Bray knows how to fix him. They’re all just lost fish in the sea, blind to the fact that they’re being stalked by a shark and he is starving.

He’ll feast on their remains, win the Elimination Chamber match for the second year in a row and slay the beast, and then, once again, he’ll have the whole world in his hands.

Sasha Banks makes her entrance, her match against Bayley will begin after the break.

Back from commercial, commentary reminds us that our Elimination Chamber qualifier is now a five-way match.

Bayley vs. Sasha Banks

Bayley with the snap schoolboy, no good, trying a backslide, again not enough to end it so quickly. Arm wringer, step over, La Casita, still only a nearfall. Kick to the midsection from Banks, whip to the corner, elbow up from the Hugger, deep arm drag, running dropkick, Sasha forces her into the corner and unloads with forearms! Bayley with a side headlock applied, shot off, shoulder block, drop down, leapfrog, Bayley with a schoolboy, Banks with a rana pin, no good!

Whip off, hip toss, off the ropes, running Meteora, another two count for the Boss. Whip across, into a forearm, Sasha dumps her to the floor and casually opens the ropes to invite her back in. Dropkick when the Hugger tries to get in there! Rolling her back in, Bayley gets shoulder thrusts in the corner, Banks slips to the apron and hangs her arm over the top rope to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Sasha has a Japanese stranglehold locked in on the mat. Bayley to her feet, stomps and elbows break her free but Banks hits a double knee armbreaker and goes for a cover for two. Boots up in the corner, the Boss sets up the double knees over referee Shawn Bennett’s objections but Bayley slips out! Sasha turns it around, sets up the corner Meteora but the Hugger erupts out of the corner and wipes her out with a lariat!

Trading hands, Banks off the ropes, Bayley with the Lou Thesz Press into mounted punches! Sasha to the corner, the Hugger puts boots to her, backed off, back suplex connects! Stunner over the middle ropes... NOPE! Jawbreaker, Bayley responds by running the ropes and kicking Banks in the face! Headed up top, the diving elbow drop comes up empty and Banks locks the Bank Statement crossface on in the middle of the ring!

Bayley trying to hang in there, crawling, desperate, reaching... BANKS PUTS A FOOT ON THE ROPES TO BLOCK BUT BAYLEY FORCES THE BREAK! She rolls Sasha off and into the turnbuckles but both women are down and out and having trouble recovering. Banks heads up to the second, Bayley cuts her off with a strike and climbs to meet her. Jockeying for position over a superplex, the Boss knocks her clean to the mat but Bayley runs back over...

Bayley wins by pinfall with a Bayley-to-Belly superplex.

The Hugger celebrates on the turnbuckles while the Boss stares on. They face off in the center of the ring... AND NIA JAX ATTACKS BOTH OF THEM! Samoan drop on Bayley! One for Sasha too!

Nia is interviewed on the stage. She says this has everything to do with her, because over the past two weeks, Bayley and Sasha took Asuka to her limit, and she destroyed both of them in seconds. At Elimination Chamber, there’s only one woman in WWE that can break Asuka’s streak, and you’re looking at her.

Commentary shills for the WWE Network and breaks down the Elimination Chamber card for us.

We go backstage with Rollins when Roman Reigns rolls up, asking him about the qualifier. Seth says he couldn’t let Roman have all the fun, and Reigns says he’ll eliminate him just like he did at the Rumble, and they turn to see the Bar standing by with the tag titles. Sheamus says he wouldn’t worry about the Elimination Chamber, because with his track record, it’ll be another failed opportunity.

Cesaro asks if he thinks Dean Ambrose and Jason Jordan are in physical therapy together bonding over what a lousy partner Seth is. Roman laughs along before asking Cesaro what happened to his mouth, before remembering that he ran into the Shield. He goes to say something to Sheamus and... my cable skips ahead to the commercial, not sure what happened there, guess I was far enough behind it felt it needed to catch me up. Oh well, I’m sure the Big Dog had a good line for Sheamus. To break!

Back from commercial, we get a recap of Nia’s interview, because Raw is three hours long.

Commentary then tosses to a video package recapping Asuka’s undefeated streak.

Titus Worldwide are interviewed backstage. Titus O’Neil takes the mic and gives Renee Young a vacation, turning to interview Apollo Crews. He’s not worried about being deleted, he’s here to create history. He’s not scared of Bray because he can’t digest him, he’s gonna extinguish Seth Rollins’ fire, and the only club he’s part of is Titus Worldwide, VIP wherever they go.

Dana Brookes says according to her numbers, Crews can’t lose! Titus Worldwide pre-emptively celebrate their victory.

Alexa Bliss is walking backstage when she runs into Mickie James. Mickie asks what was up last week with Bliss saving her and why they’re teaming against Absolution tonight. Alexa says she’s sick of newbies running wild, but more importantly she wants to clear the air between them. Bliss stumbles through an apology and Mickie recalls in great detail the insults Alexa heaped on her.

Bliss claims she was jealous and is very impressed with her ability to balance being a mother and a WWE Superstar. James is unimpressed. She shifts tactics and says that if Absolution work together in the Chamber, they’re screwed. Mickie ends up saying she appreciates what she did last week, but come Elimination Chamber she’s going for the title, and Alexa is buttering the wrong biscuit.

Absolution (Paige included) make their entrance, but the actual match will have to wait until after the break.

Back from commercial in time for Bliss and James to make their entrances.

Absolution (Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville) vs. Alexa Bliss & Mickie James

James and Rose to start, collar and elbow, Mickie grabs a side headlock, into the takeover, reversed to a headscissors but Mickie gets out with a kip-up. Off the ropes, cartwheel into a dropkick, cover’s only good for one, whip reversed, short-arm back elbow, tag to Deville. Waistlock takedown, Mickie with an elbow, kick combo, off the ropes with a knee strike, tag to Bliss.

Double whip into a double back elbow, double knee drop into the moonsault double knees, only good for two. Sonya throwing body blows, Alexa with a knee and the goozle, bending her back, NODOWA OTOSHI! Tag back to James, holding her in place for a kick off the ropes that gets two and Deville comes back with shoulder thrusts in the corner. Charging into a boot, Mickie with a headscissors takeover, following it with the Lou Thesz Press into mounted punches!

Knocking Mandy off the apron, Deville takes the opening and gets a nearfall. Tag to Rose, body blows, arm wringer into an abdominal stretch, James escapes with a snapmare and ducks the running knee! Hangman’s neckbreaker connects and both women are down and out. Sonya pulls Alexa off the apron, Rose takes advantage, kick to the midsection...

Absolution win by pinfall with Angel’s Wings from Mandy Rose on Mickie James.

Absolution put boots to James after the match but Alexa makes the save, throwing hands and running them off!

Elias is walking backstage, guitar over his shoulder, and we’re informed that he’s debuting the Elimination Chamber Blues, after the break.

Back from commercial we get a quick graphic showing us the title belt WWE sent the winners of the Super Bowl.

Elias is in the ring, ready to play the Elimination Chamber Blues for us. He does his usual intro about walking with him and mocks the crowd’s response, calling it pathetic and saying the best thing about San Jose is that it’s an hour away from a real city like San Francisco. Or, who’s he kidding, every city in California is a toxic dump.

Of course, the song is about how he’s the only one who’s gonna win the Elimination Chamber, running down his opponents and saying the songs he wrote for Miz were actually for Maryse, and eventually he’s cut off by the ring announcer introducing Braun Strowman.

Braun is seated on a stool in front of a mic on the stage with his own spotlight, and he gets a double bass from just inside the darkness. He hammers a couple notes out and breaks the bridge before launching into his vocal performance, a song about how he’s not finished with Elias, and when this song’s over, the Drifter’s gonna get these hands. Since he broke the strings he reckons there’s only one thing he can do with the double bass now, and he puts it over his shoulder and takes it to ringside.

Elias begs off and puts his guitar down, asking Braun to do the same for a fair fight. Strowman does so and the Drifter tries to blindside the monster on his entrance! He grabs the guitar for a cheap shot but Braun goozles him and hammers him to the mat with a clubbing blow to the chest! Elias tries to crawl away while Strowman is posing but (sing along with me, kids), Braun’s not finished with him yet.

Strowman heads to the floor and eyes the double bass, picking it up and stalking behind Samson! HE SMASHES THE DOUBLE BASS OVER ELIAS’ BACK! BRAUN HEADS TO THE BACK WHILE REFEREES RUSH OUT TO CHECK ON THE DRIFTER!

We get a handcam promo from Finn Balor running down what his opponents in the qualifier want to do tonight, but he doesn’t care what they want, he cares about making the most of his second chance and winning the Elimination Chamber match. This will bring him one step closer to what HE wants, what he never lost, the Universal Championship.

The Bar make their entrance, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Roman Reigns makes his entrance.

Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus

Collar and elbow, Roman forces Sheamus in the corner and referee John Cone forces the break. Back to the lockup, the Celtic Warrior grabs a wristlock, rolls it over and wrenches it in, Reigns reverses to a hammerlock and Sheamus finds solace in the ropes. Big Dog ducks a lariat but Sheamus is able to force him in the corner with right hands and headbutts.

Roman regains control in the next corner, whip reversed but he explodes out of the corner with a lariat that sends Sheamus to the floor where Cesaro gives him a pep talk. Back inside, Roman clobbers Sheamus right out the other side of the ring! Sheamus in control as Roman heads out but Reigns fights back and puts him into the barricade hard before slamming his face into the apron.

Roman jawing at Cesaro and the Celtic Warrior is able to catch him with a Finlay Roll on the floor that sends us to break.

Back from commercial and Sheamus is in control with a top wristlock in the middle of the ring. He wrenches it in and adds knees to the ribs and kidneys as the Big Dog struggles. Breaking free, he hits the pair of lariats, comes off the ropes with the leaping lariat but soon after runs into a boot and gets put shoulder-first into the post. Irish Curse connects, only a nearfall!

Pick the legs, stomps to the midsection, he folds ‘em up for the cloverleaf and is able to step over and lock it on all the way! Roman fights out, off the ropes, Samoan drop, slow to capitalize and it’s only good for two! Calling for the Superman Punch but Sheamus reverses to White Noise... NOPE! Sheamus fired up in the corner and beating his chest... REIGNS COUNTERS THE BROGUE KICK WITH THE SUPERMAN PUNCH! ONLY A NEARFALL!

Howling for the spear, Sheamus counters with a knee but the Big Dog catches his charge and turns it into the sitout powerbomb and another nearfall! Cesaro on the apron running interference, Sheamus with a schoolboy... NOT ENOUGH! He catches Roman with a wicked knee strike... NO GOOD! The Celtic Warrior screaming mad, he shoves Reigns to the floor.

Cesaro charges in, gets back body dropped over the barricade and Superman Punched! Sheamus out to hit the Big Dog in the ribs and Roman throws him at the post in return! Drive-By... COUNTERED WITH A LARIAT! Sheamus up top, diving lariat... COUNTERED INTO THE SPEAR! IT’S OVER!

Roman Reigns wins by pinfall with the spear.

Commentary tosses to the Hall of Fame video package for our newest inductee, Ivory, and we go to break.

Back from commercial commentary reminds us that Ronda Rousey will sign her contract at the Elimination Chamber.

We get a bunch of entrances for our main event, but the actual match will have to wait until after the break.

Back from commercial and the match is in progress!

Apollo Crews vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Finn Balor vs. Matt Hardy vs. Seth Rollins (Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match)

Crews knocks Wyatt to the floor and hits a moonsault to boot! Back inside with Finn, running kick, duck a lariat from Rollins and return his own! Charging in, back body drop to the apron, Balor hits him with a gamengiri and gets into it with Seth, double stomp sending him backing. Inverted headlock elbow drop on Bray but Matt Hardy makes the save! Forearm strike, whip to the corner, Balor with a back elbow but Hardy cuts him off and gets cut off in turn by Rollins.

Finn throwing hands, caught with a superkick, off the ropes, Sling Blade connects! Finn charges in, eats a superkick, and Wyatt runs Seth over with the freight train crossbody block! Deep inverted facelock, Seth slips out and rolls him up for two, Avada Kedavra, Balor makes the save! Finn and Hardy dumped to the floor, the Architect gets the Eater of Worlds in his sights and climbs up top... and gets cut off by Apollo!

Hardy and Balor in to stop the superplex, they go to turn it into a Tower of Doom but Bray breaks it up! He wipes Matt out with a lariat, pulls Crews away and hits a shoulder jawbreaker on Rollins! Rock Bottom and a running senton on Crews... NOPE! And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Wyatt hits a body avalanche on Balor and hangs back in the turnbuckles only to see Hardy applauding him! Matt ducks a lariat, right hands, smashing Bray’s face into the turnbuckles over and over, corner lariat sets up the bulldog, Wyatt blocks, Side Effect connects! One for Finn as well! Hardy pops up to the second, overhead elbow drop to the back of the neck on Bray!

Kick to the gut... ROLLINS BREAKS THE TWIST OF FATE UP WITH THE SPRINGBOARD KNEE STRIKE! Forearms and chops back Wyatt into the corner, whip reversed, boot up on the charge for Bray and Apollo... DOUBLE BLOCKBUSTER! The Architect dives on Balor and Hardy in turn, and a third for Wyatt to boot! He’s got Crews lined up, suplex rolled through into the Falcon Arrow... NOPE!

A knee sends Apollo to the floor, enzuigiri staggers Bray but he’s able to get a lariat off to wipe Rollins out! Cover made late, only two, Finn in, Sling Blade to pick the bones! Shotgun dropkick, Balor heads up top but Seth blocks the Coup de Grace and meets him! Jockeying for position, throwing hands, Phoenix Splash comes up empty and Bray grabs the deep facelock!

Sister Abigail denied, Twist of Fate... COUP DE GRACE! ROLLINS IN, BLACKOUT... APOLLO BREAKS IT UP! Crews throwing hands on Rollins, Seth returning a series of forearms into punches, fired up, off the ropes, he has to slip out of a military press but Apollo hits a Samoan drop into a standing moonsault.. NOT ENOUGH! Back suplex lift, Seth fights out with punches, elbow strike, ripcord countered with an enzuigiri, standing shooting star press... NO GOOD!

Crews headed up top, Hardy meets him with kidney shots, Side Effect clutch, Apollo fighting back, finally Bray pulls Matt down... SISTER ABIGAIL ON THE FLOOR! Wyatt back inside, trying to maneuver Crews out of the turnbuckle but he’s struggling, Finn and Seth complete the Tower of Doom! Both men cover Wyatt, we have a three count... but who won?!

Neither a finish nor a winner is announced.

Seth and Finn jaw with referee Shawn Bennett in the confusion over who won.

That’s the show, folks.
