Let’s read too much into a house show mixed tag match

In our latest edition of “over-analyzing live event advertisements”, we’ve got a doozy.

Right off the top, this commercial does not line up with the text from Madison Square Garden’s site. So we’ve got conflicting information in addition to the usual “card subject to change” caveats.

Still, the video was just uploaded yesterday (Feb. 9) and the creation of a commercial is more involved than just putting words on a web page. So if we all accept the usual disclaimers, let’s have some fun with this:

For one thing, the John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. Elias and Bayley match it touts puts Bella back in action for (as far as we know) the first time since her appearance in the historic Women’s Royal Rumble match on Jan. 28. Does it also put her in play for WrestleMania 34? At a time when we’re already wondering how many ladies WWE will be able to fit on the card - especially if Ronda Rousey is not in one of the two title matches?

Aside from other Mixed Match Challenge teams breathing a sigh of relief that You Can’t Ce-Nikki wasn’t entered in the field for the Facebook Watch series, what does Bayley working with Elias mean? A sign something from MMC will stick beyond social media and Tuesday nights at 10PM Eastern? Or is this the heel turn she’s talked about and many have fantasy booked?

Put that in your speculation pipe and smoke it, Cagesiders, and let us know what you make of it.
