During last week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Samoa Joe interrupted a match between Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton to deliver what he called a “public service announcement.” His message?
Drink responsibly, basically.
Especially don’t drink and drive, something Hardy has been busted for in his real life in the past. He’s also had well publicized substance abuse issues, something WWE itself delved into with a special that aired on the WWE Network earlier this year. Because this is professional wrestling, that’s being used as fodder for a storyline.
Is it going to make you hate Samoa Joe? Is it going to make you support Hardy even more than you do now?
We’ll get a taste of that this coming Tuesday night, as WWE has announced that Hardy will be appearing to respond to Joe’s remarks.
