Last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured a segment, baffling as it was, that seemed designed to have Sasha Banks & Bayley broach the idea of WWE introducing women’s tag team titles. They did not, the segment bombed, and everyone went home unhappy.
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured basically the same segment with some adjustments. It didn’t make it much better, but at least they got around to the idea for tag titles!
“Well, you know, we did have an amazing first ever all women’s pay-per-view at Evolution, and that was a huge success. So I think we’ve been doing pretty good on making some big changes. But I know for both of us, we want to be the first ever WWE women’s tag team champions.”
Before Alexa Bliss could answer this, Dana Brooke, Mickie James, and Alicia Fox ran in to interrupt. It seems clear, however, that we’re just around the corner from women’s tag titles actually coming into existence.
