He told us on Raw he was gonna be in the match. He even predicted he’ll win the 2019 Royal Rumble match, taking place at the pay-per-view (PPV) of the same name in Phoenix’s Chase Field on Sun. Jan. 27, and go on to main event WrestleMania 35.

When he made that declaration before his Triple Threat match with Dolph Ziggler & Finn Bálor on the episode of the red brand which aired on Dec. 24, however, we weren’t sure if Drew McIntyre had the John Cena-like power to book himself into matches. After the whole Becky Lynch/Asuka/Paige fiasco from last week, we wanted to wait for official word.
Turns out McIntyre does have that ability, or the Council of McMahons liked his proposal. And WWE.com has formally announced he’ll join R-Truth as the second confirmed entrant in the men’s Rumble.
28 more to go! Will one of them be Ziggler, who Drew faces inside a steel cage on the Dec. 31 Raw (which will actually be taped on Fri., Dec. 28 in Detroit)?
