WWE TLC 2018 results: Rey Mysterio beats Randy Orton in a better than expected Chairs match

The Randy Orton character, of late, has been torturing Rey Mysterio in various ways, from unmasking him to using a chair to try to injure his throat. It was in service of setting up a Chairs match at tonight’s (Sun., Dec. 16, 2018) WWE TLC pay-per-view (PPV) at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

Which, yeah, Chairs matches generally suck. There isn’t all that much they can do with them.

Then again:

They had a surprisingly good back-and-forth match that ended when Mysterio used some chairs they had set up in the ring to face-plant Orton before following up with a victory roll to score a surprise pinfall.

They called it like he stole one, and Orton was livid in the ring after.
