WWE’s attempt to seek out all the best talent the pro wrestling world really is a 365 days a year gig.
One week after WWE recruiters held tryouts in the country of Chile, the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida opened their doors to a fresh batch of recruits.
Some notable names from the indie scene as well as a former UFC fighter highlighted WWE’s year end tryouts.

Best known for her work alongside Joey Janela, the 26-year-old Penelope Ford began her wrestling career working for east coast promotion Combat Zone Wrestling. Ford recently challenged Jazz for the NWA Women’s Championship and made a memorable appearance at All In.
A 32-year-old middleweight MMA fighter out of Massachusetts, Eric Spicely was also seen at this week’s WWE tryouts. Spicely went 2-4 in the UFC from 2016-2018 and stands six feet two inches.
Also spotted at the WWE Performance Center was 23-year-old cruiserweight Jake Altas. Based out of Los Angles, California, Atlas trains at the famed Santino Bros Wrestling Academy.
