This Tuesday has been moving right along as normal as any other Tuesday. Then, just hours before SmackDown Live is set to hit the air on the USA Network, WWE reported a match happening on the show.
WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Mustafa Ali.
What?
That’s right, folks, the so-called “Heart and Soul of 205 Live” is coming to the blue brand and immediately being thrown into the fire against the champion of said brand, who just recently underwent a major character change. The announcement mentions Bryan having been a commentator for the Cruiserweight Classic, where Ali was introduced in WWE.
Now, he’s on SmackDown.
It’s not clear if this is a one-time arrangement or if Ali will be a member of the SmackDown roster going forward. Expect to learn more on that tonight.
