Finn Balor injured, replaced by Apollo Crews in Mixed Match Challenge 2

The cursed second season of Mixed Match Challenge just lost another wrestler to injury.

This time, Finn Balor has been bitten by the injury bug, as announced on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. He was sent home from live events this past weekend and had apologized for as much on social media. At the time, we didn’t know why.

Now we do.

The exact nature of the injury was not made clear but it was revealed that Apollo Crews will replace him in the Mixed Match Challenge. He’ll team up with Bayley. The two will have their first match together tomorrow night, and if they win they’ll be in the Final, which is scheduled to take place at TLC this Sunday night in San Jose.

That’s assuming another injury doesn’t hit, of course. Let’s hope not!

Speaking of TLC, Balor is currently to wrestle Drew McIntyre on the show. While he was pulled from Mixed Match Challenge, no announcement was made regarding his status for the pay-per-view that is less than one week away.
