Heath Slater makes his debut as a WWE referee

He’s got kids and a new job.

The problem was Heath Slater was he is very, very, very bad at his new job. In a match between Elias and Lio Rush, Slater made his debut as a WWE referee.

Put in a tough spot with Bobby Lashley at ringside, Slater was slow to pull the trigger on an obvious DQ call. With Elias in the middle of pinning Rush, Lashley interfered in the match and Slater had no idea what to do.

Slater was finally ready to disqualify Rush but Lashley grabbed him. Then Elias got blasted with his own guitar and Slater still did not call for the bell. Rush would go on to get the three count and pick up the win over Elias.

Was Baron Corbin in Slater’s ear or is WWE’s newest official just really not great at being a ref?
