WWE has a new power couple

Their relationship was part of a great series of videos did to introduce Roderick Strong to the NXT Universe. Now, shortly after Marina Shafir entered kayfabe by helping Shayna Baszler re-capture the black-and-yellow brand’s Women’s title at Evolution, they’ve gone ahead and made the thing legal.

Introducing The Strongs...

WWE.com says they did the deal (getting married, although we can not confirm or deny if Falcon Arrows were hit) on Weds., Nov. 7. In addition to Baszler and the other member of their NXT alliance, Jessamyn Duke, Wrestling Observer reports that lead MMA Horsewoman Ronda Rousey flew back from the European tour to be at the wedding.

Shafir & Strong (real name Chris Lindsey) have been engaged since 2015, and welcomed their son Troy to the world last spring. Marina signed with WWE, along with Duke, in May of this year, completing the foursome whose long been rumored to some day feud with the NXT Horsewomen, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks & Bayley.

Is that the only angle Shafir is destined for? It’s tongue-in-cheek, but WWE’s website is teasing an alliance between Shayna’s faction and Strong’s Undisputed ERA. They’re all arrogant heels, and wrestling - and NXT’s founding father - loves a power couple...

Stay tuned on that, and join us in wishing Roddy & Marina all the happiness in the world.
