Kenny Omega is back to teasing a match with a current WWE champion

Kenny Omega is really good at making just the right amount of noise.

Fresh a win with Kota Ibushi at New Japan Pro Wrestling Power Struggle 2018 and before he takes on Rey Fenix at NEW Redemption this weekend, Omega took to social media to drum up some interest in his pending free agency.

Answering a fan’s comment about the year current WWE cruiserweight champion Buddy Murphy is having and how it was very Omega-like, The Best Bout Machine responded with:

“I did the weight drop thing just like Buddy for my chance. I’d love for him to get back to where he’s comfortable and face him at full power.”

Quick to stoke the fire, Murphy was added his two cents on a potential match between him and Omega.

This just comes a few weeks after current WWE Intercontinental champion Seth Rollins lobbied for a match with Omega.

Omega vs. Murphy, Omega vs. Rollins or Omega versus anyone on the NXT or WWE rosters seems like it will be teased out until the end of the time.

The last we heard Kenny Omega’s contract with New Japan expires on Jan. 31, 2019. Also known as four days after the 2019 Royal Rumble.

Will he, won’t he or can we just know what Omega and his crew in The Elite are going do when they hit the free agent market? We don’t know if we can handle three more months of speculation.
