Survivor Series to be one of several nights a year when the stars of 205 Live go head-to-head

Last Wednesday on 205 Live, Mustafa Ali defeated Tony Nese. As a result AOP’s the show’s General Manager booked Ali as the first challenger for the man who won the Cruiserweight title last month in his hometown of Melbourne, Australia’s Buddy Murphy.

Tonight (Nov. 7), DRAKE MAVERICK revealed when the Heart of 205 Live would get his shot at the Juggernaught & his purple belt...

Before you make “pre-show” jokes, know a couple of things...

  1. These guys are both very good and have great chemistry. Their earlier matches have been absolute bangers, including a No DQ affair WWE named the best in the brand’s history.
  2. WWE.com lists the Cruiserweight title bout as happening after 7PM when the main Survivor Series card begins.

Of course, #2 could easily change. But DRAKE MAVERICK has something else to do on Sun., Nov. 18, so I’m betting either the cruisers assume their usual “Big Five” pay-per-view (PPV) position on the Kickoff, or AOP’s showdown with The Bar does. You’ve got to give a man time change gears (and outfits).

Ali vs. Murphy joins the seven already announced matches for Los Angeles’ Staples Center. You can find out the latest on those here.
