Brock Lesnar, Stephanie McMahon announced for final Raw before Survivor Series

It shouldn’t really be news that the top titleholder and person who is (fictionally speaking) in charge of a combat sports/sports entertainment operation will be appearing on the show dedicated to said combat sports/sports entertainment operation.

But this is Raw.

And Raw. Is. Special Attractions!

With their calendar packed full of events, WWE only had two weeks worth of shows between Crown Jewel and Survivor Series. As such, they’re loading up the last episode before Nov. 18’s pay-per-view (PPV) in Los Angeles with Universal champion Brock Lesnar AND commissioner Stephanie McMahon.

Lesnar will be on hand to... let’s be real. He’s there to jog in place while Paul Heyman talks about WWE champ AJ Styles. But it will be interesting to watch for signs of when Braun Strowman (or Drew McIntyre?) will get a chance to dethrone the Beast, or if Heyman drops any UFC crossover talk into his promo.

Steph will hype the inter-brand warfare aspect of Survivor Series (the one night of the year where Raw and SmackDown go head-to-head, blahblahblah, ratta-ta-ta) and talk about her brother, Shane McMahon, winning the World Cup. Which, if Vince’s kids are both heels again... you know what, I’m still not interested. I’ve been down too many stakes-free Team Red vs. Team Blue and evil authority figure roads to get too worked up. But if you are, here’s a segment for you!

And that’s not all!

My snark aside, it is shaping up to be a loaded show. And it has to be, with a lot of pieces still needing to be snapped into place before we get to Staples Center.

We’ll be watching. Will you?
