John Cena has been gone for some time, off in China filming a movie with Jackie Chan. It was enough of a commitment that he simply moved to the country for a few months. That kept him away from WWE — save for a show here or there, and, perhaps more notably, not working Crown Jewel — but he’s finally ready to come back stateside:
160 days ago I landed in to film w @EyeOfJackieChan today is the final day of that project. An experience I’ll never forget. I’ll have 1 day home then ⏰ to promote @bumblebeemovie until it’s release 12/21 then, I truly return home @WWE @TheGarden 12/26 #HLR #NeverGiveUp ⚡️

WWE tells us he’ll be back for a lot more shows come January, which makes sense, considering it’s a hugely important time for the company, what with Royal Rumble and the Road to WrestleMania beginning in earnest.
It’s a good thing, too, because we also know — like he knows — that he’s nearing the end.
Enjoy him while you can!
