Roman Reigns isn’t letting cancer keep him away from repping his alma mater on rivalry week

Ahhh yessir.

We’re coming up on the end of college football’s regular season, and that means it’s time for schools to square off with their big rivals.

For many, that means the other big university in the same state. For Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i and his Georgia Tech Yellowjackets, it means facing the big, bad Georgia Bulldogs.

The rivalry has a nickname worthy of a wrestling pay-per-view (PPV), “Clean, Old Fashioned Hate”. Georgia leads the overall series (66–41–5), while Tech has the edge in national championships (four to two).

During Roman’s time on the team, the Yellowjackets were winless against Georgia. And their odds aren’t too good today, either (the 10 - 1 Dawgs are ranked fifth in the country while 7 - 4 Tech is... not). In fact, as of this writing, Georgia’s up big, early.

No matter. The point is, Anoa’i is there, cheering on his alma mater and making his first appearance since leaving WWE after revealing the return of his leukemia...

Whoever wins or loses today at Sanford Stadium in Athens, it’s great to see the Big Dog looking happy & healthy in the midst of the rematch of his life.

Believe that.
