This week’s episode of SmackDown Live comes just days after the blue brand was swept (according to WWE, they actually won the tag team elimination match on the Kickoff show) by Monday Night Raw at Survivor Series. That means there will be fallout and now we know how they plan to address it.
WWE announced on its website that Shane McMahon will go on Miz TV for what they’re calling a “State of the State.” Who knows what exactly that means, but there’s a lot going on at the top of the card at SmackDown right now.
McMahon himself was just teasing a heel turn at Crown Jewel when he won the World Cup. SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is still injured. Charlotte Flair seemed to turn a corner at Survivor Series when she snapped on Ronda Rousey. Daniel Bryan definitely turned a corner when he used a nut shot to win the WWE championship from AJ Styles, and he has yet to address it (but is scheduled to on this very same show).
Plus, the aforementioned sweep.
Intrigue!
