WWE SmackDown Live results (Nov. 20, 2018): Survivor Series fallout show

WWE SmackDown Live comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Nov. 20, 2018) from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, featuring the fallout show from the Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV) that went down this past Sunday night in the very same venue.

Advertised for tonight: Daniel Bryan ushers in his latest reign as WWE champion, New Day vs. The Bar & Big Show in a Thanksgiving Feast Fight, and more!

Come right back here at 8 p.m. ET when the SmackDown live blog kicks off once the show starts on USA. It will be below this line here. (REMINDER: NO GIFS OR PICS ARE ALLOWED IN THE COMMENTS SECTION. OFFENDERS WILL BE BANNED.)

Old crows ride in the mouth of the beast, sleep beneath its tongue, cradled by its teeth. We roam from shore to shore, from the open sky to the ocean floor. The more we move, the less we are ourselves and when we finally stop, we’ve changed to something else. As rapid as a river flows, as frigid as the cold wind can blow. As devious as the devil’s grin, our blood is cold and we’ve shed our skin. Now, we are not the kids we used to be, and me, I’m here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with a recap of Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey from Survivor Series.

Live in the arena, Flair makes her entrance.

She gets on the mic and tells the crowd that yes, they should thank her because she put the baddest beating on the so-called Baddest Woman on the Planet and she’s damn proud of it. She asks Ronda if she’s walking slower today, looking at her bruises and welts and looking for an apology, but she’s not sorry. She enjoyed every second of beating her ass!

This Sunday was for SmackDown, for her girls in the locker room, and for the champ. She’s fought Becky Lynch and for Becky Lynch, and she took it to heart when she told her to give Rousey a beating, and a beating she gave her, making her bow down to the Queen.

Enter Paige. She says Charlotte doesn’t have to apologize because they all enjoyed the beating she gave Ronda, but she wants to make sure Flair heard what she said yesterday about coming and finding her. Charlotte asks what the next PPV is and says if Rousey sticks her nose in her business again she’s gonna stick her head in a chair and stomp it a zillion times because no one’s going to stop her.

Paige says that’s why she’s out here, because Flair snapped and put her hands on FIVE WWE referees. Charlotte says they were in her way, but Paige says you never, under any circumstance put your hands on an official, and she has no choice. As general manager, she’s going to fine Flair one hundred thousand dollars!

Enter the Iconic Duo. Billie Kay asks Peyton Royce what she’s doing, saying she’s in a trance like some female Frankenstein, or Charlotte at Survivor Series. They mock her mental capacity and say they know they’re Paige’s favorites, so they want to do her a favor by taking those hundred Gs. Flair asks which one of them wants to be the next Ronda Rousey and takes her robe off, ready to hand out a beating!

We go to break before any match can begin.

Billie Kay vs. Charlotte Flair

Collar and elbow, Flair throws Kay into the turnbuckles, chops ensue, side headlock takeover and she grounds the Aussie, yelling at her to shut up. To her feet, clubbing at Charlotte’s kidneys, but that just gets an uppercut and a series of knee drops out of the Queen. Pick the leg out of the corner, spinning toehold but Kay scrambles to the floor and into the safety of Peyton Royce’s arms.

Back inside, again Billie slides out, Peyton runs interference and Billie gets a big boot in! Back in the ring, mounted punches into a cradle for a nearfall! Flair with a back elbow, an O’Connor roll, but Key puts her into the turnbuckles on the kickout and puts boots to her! Royce yanking Charlotte’s hair over the bottom rope, Billie hits another big boot for two!

Flair with a fallaway slam, she’s fired up...

Charlotte Flair wins by pinfall with Natural Selection.

Charlotte gets on the mic and calls Peyton out for a fight as well! She has some misgivings about it but Kay screams at her to avenge her and Flair says she doesn’t have all day. She climbs into the ring as Charlotte promises to play Flair and square but bails before any match can begin!

We go to break.

The match begins during the break!

Charlotte Flair vs. Peyton Royce

Royce with a slap, a hard knee, only good for two and she’s screaming bloody murder! Putting boots to Flair, another cover for two, kick to the back, Charlotte sidesteps one into a folding press for two. Peyton with a lariat, one more nearfall, reverse chinlock applied, wrenching her neck over the top rope and distracting refeee Ryan Tran so Kay can get a cheap shot in!

Flair fires a boot back, scoops her up, again Billie gets involved...

Charlotte Flair wins by disqualification.

The Iconic Duo beat on Charlotte post-match as the crowd chants for Becky Lynch. They draw her up and throw her to the floor like a sack of potatoes! They futz with the timekeeper’s area a moment, Flair recovers... DOUBLE SPEAR! Smashing Kay’s face into the announce table, the same treatment for Royce moments later, then both at the same time!

She throws Billie into the barricade and smashes her in the face with a running knee before throwing Peyton into the steel steps! Flair then throws both of them over the announce table, climbs atop it and poses!

Rey Mysterio cuts a promo talking about how Randy Orton is more dangerous and sadistic than ever, but he didn’t come back to WWE just to be another one of the Viper’s victims. Orton may be at the top of his game, but so is he, just watch and see.

We get a recap of the match from last week where Daniel Bryan won the WWE Championship from AJ Styles.

The Miz is backstage autographing a crew member’s copy of The Marine 6: Close Quarters on Blu-Ray to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Miz welcomes us to MizTV.

He soaks in “Miz is awesome!” chants for a second and says it’s good to be home. He was honored to fight alongside tonight’s guest at Survivor Series, SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon. He makes his way rather gingerly into the ring and declines Miz’s request for the shuffle before taking his seat. Miz says he was transcendant at Survivor Series, and as the kids would say he’s a Shane stan.

It’s only fitting that they were the last men standing for SmackDown, just like at WWE World Cup. They put everything on the line for their brand, Coast 2 Coast. McMahon’s not sure of the “we” thing, and admits he doesn’t remember much of the end of the match. Miz says he was using “we” metaphorically because they were on the same team, and Shane points out that usually hosts have questions.

The A-Lister admits to being nervous and says since he’s 2/3s best in the world, he has one and only one question-- “Shane McMahon, will you team up with me?” Shane asks to do what, and Miz says he wants to form a tag team. The Best Team in the World, in fact, and at Survivor Series he didn’t just see a commissioner, but a champion! McMahon says with their respective duties, he doesn’t know if, uh...

Miz is disappointed and says he thought he’d be jumping for joy, and if he’s as much of a McMahon as he thinks he is, he’ll team with him right here right now against some kinda competition! Shane begs off and Miz introduces two local tag team specialists, Wayne and Dwayne Bryant. Miz orders the MizTV set cleared and I guess we’ve got a match!

Best Team in the World (Shane McMahon & the Miz) vs. Dwayne & Wayne Bryant

Miz and Dwayne to start, knees and a boot take Bryant down, off the ropes with another boot, a bit of the Shane Shuffle, the basement DDT, he goes for a cover but decides to go over to Shane and see if he wants to tag in, but McMahon wants him to do it. He heads back over but Bryant is ready...

Dwayne & Wayne Bryant win by pinfall with a small package from Dwayne on the Miz.

Commentary hypes up Starrcade this weekend, both the live event on Saturday and the one-hour broadcast special event on Sunday.

New Day are backstage dressed as pilgrims and chanting 6-1 when they run into the Gobbledy Gooker... WHO TAKES HIS HEAD OFF TO REVEAL R-TRUTH!

We go to break on a hype reel for tonight’s episode of Mixed Match Challenge.

Back from commercial, New Day are in the ring with a Thanksgiving dinner spread out on tables in the ring and at ringside.

Kofi Kingston says that spread can only mean one thing-- Turkey Day! And that means your boys the New Day will be participating in the first-ever Thanksgiving Feast Fight, which is similar to normal Thanksgiving, except you can’t throw mashed potatoes at your creepy uncle. They want to share what they’re thankful for, to which Kofi is thankful for their tag team victory at Survivor Series, the 1 in 6-1, but for some reason it didn’t count towards the grand total.

Xavier Woods is thankful for his 2TB hard drive so he doesn’t have to delete Spider-Man to play Red Dead Redemption 2, and Big E is thankful for the big, juicy, succulent breasts they’ve been blessed with on this day. Kofi is aghast, but E says he’s just talking about turkey, and proceeds to lick the bird until the Bar’s entrance cuts him off.

Cesaro asks if they’re kidding, they’re the tag team champions and he’s sure Shane and Paige didn’t come up with this, it has to be New Day’s stupid idea. Kofi says when Paige was talking about stepping your game up, it wasn’t New Day she was talking about, because they actually won their Survivor Series match, unlike some people. Sheamus asks if he’s taking the piss, because nobody can prepare for spontaneous urination!

But they’re gonna make things right by kicking their arse... after the break!

Back from commercial in time for the bell!

New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston, & Xavier Woods) vs. the Bar (Big Show, Cesaro, & Sheamus) (Thanksgiving Feast Fight)

Show and Woods to start, Big shrugging Xaver off when he charges and tearing his pilgrim shirt off for a big chop in the corner! Another big overhand chop, tag to Cesaro, uppercuts, tag to Sheamus, he draws Woods up for the Beats of the Bodhran! A headbutt to the back of the head follows and a tag back to the Swiss Superman. Elbow drop for two and into a cutthroat choke to grind him down.

Sheamus tags in, off the ropes, double lariat, drawing Xavier up into a top wristlock. Woods out, trading shots, a kick backs him into the corner hard and a tag back to Cesaro. Putting boots to Xavier, basement dropkick for two and Cesaro argues with referee Jason Ayers about his count! Reverse chinlock applied, Woods fighting, wheelbarrow reversed... ROLLING FACE ERASER!

Tag made, Kingston in hot, with chops and a dropkick, off the ropes, leaping lariat and he’s fired up! Off the ropes, Boom Drop connects, gobbling all the way! Trouble in Paradise ducked, the Celtic Warrior lands a kick of his own but Kofi comes off the top with a diving crossbody that Cesaro has to break up! He throws Woods out after, E off the ropes with a lariat, off the ropes, a shoulder block sends Show wobbling, a kick to the ropes... BIG SHOW CRASHES THROUGH THE DINNER TABLE TO THE FLOOR!

Sheamus with a Brogue Kick to E, headed to the floor, he picks a turkey off the table... KINGSTON DUCKS THE TURKEY! Xavier with a kick, Kofi up top, Woods throws the turkey to him... DIVING TURKEY SHOT PUTS SHEAMUS THROUGH A DINNER TABLE! Tag to Big, E wears a turkey like a boxing glove and winds up... TURKEY LARIATOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! IT’S OVER!

New Day win by pinfall with a turkey lariat from Big E on Cesaro.

Post-match, they accost Cesaro with various of the remaining foodstuffs.

Backstage, Randy Orton picks up a Rey Mysterio mask and say some folks think it represents culture and pride, but to him it means nothing and doesn’t deserve to be respected. It deserves to be destroyed just like the man who wears it. Rey came back to SmackDown and we were excited, but after he’s done with Mysterio, we’ll be shocked and disappointed, because of the three most destructive letters in sports entertainment, RKO.

We go backstage with Asuka and Naomi as they start walking to the ring to send us to break.

Back from commercial in time for entrances.

Asuka & Naomi vs. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville

Rose and Naomi to start, Mandy with a side headlock, shot off, Naomi snaps off a Frankensteiner and then dropkicks Deville when she comes in! Asuka in with her, fired up, off the ropes... STEREO HIP ATTACKS SEND US TO BREAK!

Back from commercial, Deville is in control and Rose tags herself in. Naomi rolls Sonya off but Mandy is right behind her with a wicked knee strike... NOPE! Putting boots to her in the corner, laying forearms in, referee Danilo Anfibio warns her off and she tags Deville back in. Sonya draws her up, wristlock to deny the tag, back suplex, Naomi lands on her feet and hits an enzuigiri!

Both women down and out, tags made! Asuka ducks a lariat, Mongolian chops, whip reversed, sidesteps, dropkick and a waistlock but Mandy blocks. Deville got knocked off the apron somewhere in there, Rose with nowhere to go, sliding knee... SO CLOSE! Off the ropes, blind tag from Sonya, nearly a malfunctio at the junction and the former Absolution women are in a state of shock when Naomi comes over, Rear View, the Asuka Lock on in the middle of the ring...

Asuka & Naomi win by submission with the Asuka Lock from Asuka on Sonya Deville.

We get a recap of Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio’s interactions over the past month or so and the promise of Daniel Bryan later to send us to break.

Back from commercial, we get the Lars Sullivan vignette, so maybe he’s not necessarily coming to Raw.

Daniel Bryan makes his entrance and commentary informs us that AJ Styles will in fact get his rematch at TLC.

He begins by saying he doesn’t expect these people to understand, but this explanation isn’t for them, it’s for you, because Daniel Bryan committed an act of betrayal. But that act was not last Tuesday, no, that was nearly three years ago when he stood in front of the crowd and announced his retirement. His betrayal occurred when he gave up on his dreams.

But Bryan doesn’t give up, he learned from his mistake and fought, going to doctors and spent three hours every day inside of a hyperbaric chamber. Inside that cold, dark enclosed chamber, pumped with 100% oxygen, it was meant to speed up the healing process but it did way more than that, it allowed Dan the silence and isolation he needed to meditate on his new mantra-- “fight for your dreams and your dreams will fight for you.”

And it worked! How else would explain the miracle that against all odds Daniel Bryan returned to the ring?! And when he did, he received the loudest Yes! chants ever, and it was a great moment... but for these people, it was just a moment. They weren’t there for the struggle, they weren’t there for the pain, for the fights with his family, with the psychiatrist and the therapist telling him he just needed to move on.

The only people that moved on were these people, and you can hear it as we speak and the idiots chant for AJ Styles. It takes a second but the idiots do in fact take the bait and start chanting for AJ. Bryan continues, calling them fickle a bunch and with increasing intensity before saying you heard the Yes! chants grow quieter every week and Daniel Bryan stopped fighting.

So, when the referee was down, you didn’t allow Bryan to give up on his dreams, Daniel Bryan’s dreams took over! They did what they were programmed to do inside of that hyperbaric chamber, and his dreams kicked AJ Styles in the balls! The dreams made him realize he didn’t need these people for anything, and they told him that at Survivor Series he didn’t need to beat Brock Lesnar to win, he won by allowing Brock to beat the weakness out of him.

The dreams told him to allow Lesnar to beat the weakness out and there’d be a new emergence after that match... and there has been. The old Daniel Bryan, the one that these people loved, that man is dead. The Yes! Movement is dead, and all that’s left is you, the new Daniel Bryan. The WWE Champion! And the only thing that matters is that you never, ever give up on your dream, ever ever again!

He goes and accosts the ring announcer, who then introduces him as the new Daniel Bryan.

Commentary takes a moment to promote charitable campaigns to support those affected by the fires in California and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we geta WWE Shop video with Carmella and R-Truth selling us on all their Black Friday deals.

Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio

Mysterio with a go-behind into a waistlock, Orton out with a back elbow, whip, back body drop scouted, step-up enzuigiri puts Randy on the second but he’s got the 619 scouted and heads to the floor. Rey off the apron with a seated senton, he puts the Viper inside and hes up top but gets cut off! Orton tearing at his mask, Rey knocks him away with back elbows but gets put in the Tree of Woe as we go to break.

Back from commercial, whip reversed and Orton drops Rey with a shoulder block for two! In the turnbuckles, tearing at the mask again, Mysterio busts loose, boot up but the missile dropkick gets sidestepped! The Viper takes a beat too log to savor his advantage, Rey with a rolling solebutt, off the ropes for a dropkick, diving seated senton, springboard wheelbarrow bulldog!

Springboard leg drop... NOPE! On the second, 619 caught, hanging DDT blocked, headscissors takeover puts him on the second and the 619 connects this time! Randy to the floor, Mysterio off the ropes, suicide dive through the bottom... CAUGHT IN THE RKO! Back inside, Orton drags him to his feet by the mask...

Randy Orton wins by pinfall with the RKO.

Post-match, the Viper goes and gets a steel chair and wraps it around Mysterio’s neck before putting him into the post, EVIL-style! He takes his mask off and holds it high!

Medics attend to Rey Mysterio, who’s bleeding a fair amount, as Orton continues to pose.

That’s the show, folks.
