Triple H injured at Crown Jewel, headed to surgery

WWE on Twitter

Triple H disappeared for a long stretch of the main event at Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Fri., Nov. 2. A member of the WWE medical staff could seen conferring with him as Shawn Michaels carried the bulk of DX’s tag match with Undertaker & Kane.

The Game returned to complete the match, and even secured the pin after getting the tag and running through his usual finishing sequence. But it’s probably the last in-ring action for Hunter for a few months.

WWE.com reports he suffered what appears to be a torn pectoral muscle. The company’s official website says he’s returning to the United States for surgery (most of the crew in Saudi Arabia is heading on to Europe for the next week).

Recovery time will depend on a more complete diagnosis, but 3 - 4 months isn’t unusual for a tear requiring surgery. We’ll update you with more information when we hear it.
