At Survivor Series last night (Sun., Nov. 18), Braun Strowman tied a record held by Roman Reigns (2013) and Aja Kong (1993) by single-handedly eliminating four opponents in a single traditional Survivor Series elimination tag match. According to Sportskeeda, he also pinned Jeff Hardy, Shane McMahon, The Miz and Rey Mysterio in roughly four minutes, which gives the Monster Among Men a tie-breaker over Reigns and Kong, since he took out his rivals much faster than they did.
It’s the latest feather in the cap of Strowman, who - per WWE record keeping - also set a Royal Rumble record by sending 13 men over the top rope in the 50 man Greatest Royal Rumble in April. And that was just a couple months after he took out five competitors in the seven man Elimination Chamber match before losing to Roman.
Unfortunately, aside from the green belt he won in Saudi Arabia, padding stats before losing is pretty much how WWE books Braun.
Will his latest record pave the way for his first Universal title win when he next faces Brock Lesnar? Or will he have to use it to console himself after he comes up short one more time?
