Following his win over United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series in Los Angeles, Seth Rollins was informed via backstage interview that he will be defending the Intercontinental championship at the next WWE pay-per-view.
Indeed, he’ll wrestle his former Shield stablemate and the man who turned on him just weeks ago, Dean Ambrose, at the TLC event scheduled for Sun., Dec. 16, 2018, at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
Ambrose still hasn’t offered an explanation as to why he turned on Rollins the same night Roman Reigns revealed he was leaving to fight leukemia. They have a full month of television to build to this, so expect that sooner rather than later.
Here’s the updated TLC match card:
- Seth Rollins (c) vs. Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental championship
- Mixed Match Challenge 2 final
