Tickets for WrestleMania 35 go on sale Friday (Nov. 16).
As they’ve been doing the last few years - after releasing the results of their economic impact study of the previous ‘Mania - WWE throws a party to hype the release of tickets. Free to the public, the event is held in the venue which will host the Showcase of the Immortals. The parties feature, among other things, some wrestling. This year’s was supposed to happen tomorrow (Nov. 15).
Unfortunately, WrestleMania 35 will be held in New Jersey, and it’s currently mid-November. Which means there was always a decent chance it would be cold, and possibly wet, snowy or icy. That’s what the weatherpeople are calling for on Thursday.
So, WWE has cancelled. And the planned match reuniting the Edgeheads (Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins) against The Singh Brothers, or the pair of NXT showcase bouts, Matt Riddle vs. Kassius Ohno and Rhea Ripley vs. Kacy Catanzaro, won’t be happening. Nor will the appearances by Sami Zayn, Paige, Apollo Crews, Alicia Fox, Mojo Rawley, Jimmy Hart, and Big Show.
You can still get tickets. You don’t even have to wait until Friday if you use the pre-sale code DOTCOM. Head here, and stay safe if you live somewhere expecting bad weather. Or that’s on fire, or any of the other ways 2018 is trying to take us out.
