Although Alexa Bliss has been appearing on WWE television lately, she’s strictly been used in non-physical roles, such as acting as team captain of the Raw women’s Survivor Series team. The reason for that, it turns out, at least according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, is multiple concussions:
“There’s been a lot of talk about what’s going on with her. It was not just a concussion, she’s actually had multiple concussions in a short period of time. So that’s why they’re so cautious about her right now.”
Her issues have been such that rumors have floated about her possibly even retiring from the ring, but she seemed to dispel that with a tweet earlier today:

WWE has pushed Bliss as hard if not harder than any woman on the roster over the past couple of years. One need only look at how involved she is even while injured to see just how highly she’s thought of within the company. Her pledge to return, no matter her injury status, will only help that.
