WWE was up against some really rough competition with this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Not only was there an MLB Playoff game pitting the Boston Red Sox against the New York Yankees, but Drew Brees was going for the NFL’s passing yardage record on Monday Night Football. He got it relatively early, and the Saints blew Washington out. Boston, meanwhile, destroyed New York.
Perhaps that helped WWE, as Raw averaged 2.37 million viewers, per Showbuzz Daily, up from last week’s 2.30 million.
The hourly breakdown also improved, as there was no huge drop off in the third hour:
Hour one: 2.53 million
Hour two: 2.38 million
Hour three: 2.20 million
Of course, this all came after Super Show-Down. There was also plenty of big news to go around, as the women start preparing for Evolution and the men get ready for Crown Jewel. Either way, WWE avoided bad news today.
