Being John Cena is equal to a victory on WWE television

WWE is in the process of booking what they’re calling a “World Cup” for the upcoming Crown Jewel event on Nov. 2 in Saudi Arabia. We learned on Monday Night Raw this week it will be an 8-man tournament, with four participants from Raw and four from SmackDown Live.

The way they’re determining who will gain entry is with qualifying matches. The Conquistador, who is actually Kurt Angle, booked his ticket by winning a sham battle royal. On SmackDown this week, Big Show vs. Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe will determine two more participants.

One guy who is already in and didn’t have to win a match to do it?

That’s right, folks. Simply being John Cena is enough to gain entry into a tournament “to determine the best in the world.”

The reality is he’s back in China, still yet to finish up his movie commitments there, but once again making time to appear at the next big WWE show he’s asked to be on. We can still have fun with it, though!
