Rumors told us he was returning to Monday Night Raw soon enough, then reports indicated he was backstage at this week’s show in Chicago. Sure enough, Kurt Angle made his return in a battle royal with the winner promised entrance into the WWE World Cup tournament at Crown Jewel on Nov. 2 in Saudi Arabia.
The set up was Baron Corbin, the current acting General Manager, booking himself in a battle royal with wrestlers from all around the world he could easily defeat to earn entry. He didn’t count on The Conquistador being an Olympic hero.
