Did you like the six-person tag matches the red brand served up at Super Show-Down in Melbourne on Sat., Oct. 6?
Good news! You can see them again in just a few hours - both are happening again on Monday’s Raw from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois!
WWE’s been slow to update us on what to expect from their flagship show this week, probably because the people responsible for putting it together and performing it have either been travelling or recuperating from a trans-Pacific flight. But they’re getting around to it on WWE.com this afternoon. And what they’ve come up with is... to do the same stuff.
The difference will likely be using these rematches to actually build toward matches at Evolution on Oct. 28 in Long Island and Crown Jewel on Nov. 2 in Saudi Arabia.
Many of us expected the Riott Squad vs. Ronda Rousey & The Bellas match in Australia to set-up the rumored Nikki Bella vs. Rousey Raw Women’s title match at the company’s first all-women pay-per-view (PPV). And there was some tension between the two, but it didn’t factor into the finish. You’d think tonight would be different.
Saturday also saw The Shield defeat Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler without anyone from either side turning on their teammates... or much else to build to Strowman, Brock Lesnar and Universal champ Roman Reigns’ Triple Threat in Riyadh. Hopefully that story will be advanced a bit more here. And maybe McIntyre & Ziggler’s tag titles and Seth Rollins’ Intercontinental championship will end up involved in this or another program? Dare to dream.
You can find out at 8PM Eastern on USA Network. Or just follow along with us here should you opt to do something else with your evening besides watch do-overs from an event that continues to earn the “glorified house show” label.
