The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is a special event entitled Evolution, which is set to take place on Sun., Oct. 28, 2018, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Stadium in Uniondale, New York. This is the first ever all women’s PPV the company will promote, featuring over 50 women from the past and present.
We’re three weeks out from showtime. Here’s how the card looks:
- Trish Stratus vs. Alexa Bliss
This was announced when Bliss was still Raw women’s champion but she lost that title to Ronda Rousey. They’ve promoted this so far with one “Moment of Bliss” where Alexa ran her down for not being the hero she looked up to her as.
- Lita vs. Mickie James
They were rivals while Lita was still active, and because Trish was booked with Bliss it made sense to put Mickie with Lita.
- Ronda Rousey (c) vs. TBA (Raw women’s championship)
The current expectation is that Rousey will defend the title against Nikki Bella.
- Kairi Sane (c) vs. Shayna Baszler (NXT women’s championship)
Sane won the title at the latest TakeOver special and this is where Baszler will get her rematch.
- Mae Young Classic Final
For the sake of not spoiling, I won’t post what it is here. It can be found online if one is so inclined, but the final will take place on this show.
It’s been said there is a UK women’s title match set for the show, and a SmackDown women’s championship match to be added as well.
