A hot crowd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground got pyro and their five-time WWE Tag Team champions to start off Super Show-Down on Sat., Oct. 6.
The pairing of Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods defended their SmackDown belts against The Bar in the wee hours of the morning (here in the U.S. It was a normal start time down under), and they started off well!

But it wasn’t long before the power advantage of Cesaro & Sheamus became apparent, and Kingston paid the price.

The crowd was hot for the hot tag, which came after Kofi was able to send the Swiss Superman (“a wanker,” according to the chanting Aussies) over the top rope and get to his corner. Xavier ran roughshod, but not for long. The Bar caught up to New Day’s speed game, and a sharpshooter from Cesaro put the belts in jeopardy.
But that started a battle outside the legal one in the ring, and it was one Kingston eventually got the best of. Trouble in Paradise finally took Sheamus out of the equation...

... and then a backstabber/double stomp combo started the party in Australia with a big babyface win.
