Samoa Joe digs up Georgia state law to prove his innocence

The best heels in pro wrestling are the ones backed up by the truth. According to Samoa Joe, the truth and the law may be on his side.

Last week’s episode of SmackDown left viewers with the cliffhanger of Samoa Joe entering the house of AJ Styles, while the WWE champion was 100s mile away inside a pro wrestling ring. This week SmackDown General Manager Paige and Styles attempted to explain what happened to Joe after the cameras stopped rolling.

The explanation fell flat for many and it all basically boiled down to Paige wanting to fire Joe but she was stopped, and charges were dropped, because Styles would rather settle their differences.

Now, thanks to some internet legal research on the laws of state of Georgia, it looks like Joe didn’t commit any crime at all.

Joe has a point.

This Saturday at Super Show-Down, Styles will defend his WWE Championship versus Joe in a no DQ, no count-out match.

Will the WWE continue its dive into the legal world or just forget any of this ever happened, as the feud between Samoa Joe and AJ Styles nears the end of the line?

H/T to @GIFSkull for the find and legal leg work
