Lita names which current WWE trio she would want as a new Team Xtreme

What is old is new again. We see it all the time in movies and television, so why can’t the WWE reboot some of their older factions for modern times?

In an interview to promote her upcoming return to the ring at WWE’s all women’s pay-per-view, Evolution, Lita was able to wax poetic Team Xtreme. Comprised of Lita, Matt and Jeff Hardy, Team Xtreme made its mark in the early 2000s when WWE’s roster at the time was stacked with talent.

Speaking with Planeta Wrestling, Lita was asked about who she would pick from the current WWE roster to form a modern day Team Xtreme.

“I would really love to see that pairing, it was so dynamic. There’s so much you can do with a tag team and a woman especially when there’s another trio involved and I love seeing the aspect of a trio as we had such fun matches with Test, Albert and Trish and Team Xtreme.

”They could create a lot of pairings with another female for an opponent. I think they got to a little bit of that when it was Cesaro, Tyson Kidd and Natalya. Then Naomi and The Usos make a great team. Probably as far as athleticism and excitement to watch, I’d go with that. I’d say The Usos and Naomi could be the modern day Team Xtreme.”

Agree to disagree?

We love Naomi. We love the The Usos transformation into a more serious tag-team but could they rival a classic Team Xtreme trio? Not sure, maybe if Naomi dropped some of her glow aspects and came back with a hardened Usos inspired look, we could be sold on it.

Pulling from the WWE main roster as well as NXT, who would you draft to make up your own modern day version of Team Xtreme?
