WWE opened its historic Evolution pay-per-view (PPV) at NYCB Live in Uniondale, New York with a tag team match featuring returning Legends Trish Stratus and Lita or, as they call themselves, Team Bestie. They were supposed to wrestle Alexa Bliss and Mickie James but the former suffered an injury, leading to her removal. Alicia Fox replaced her, and Alexa was in their corner.
They probably shouldn’t have waited to tell this story, but they pushed the idea that Mickie retired both Trish and Lita. Either way, they did a great job building to a showdown between Mickie and Trish that the crowd was all over. You can guess who got the better of that.

They got the heat on Lita so Trish could come in with the hot tag. She worked over Mickie until landing Stratusfaction. Fox made the save — though she was late — but Lita came in with a Twist of Fate followed by a moonsault. Trish then followed that with the Chick Kick and got the pin to give her team the win.
