Triple H says Roman Reigns didn’t want his leukemia known for one reason

There’s still so much to unpack when it comes to Roman Reigns and his fight against leukemia.

For the past several days more and more news about Reigns has come out. In a new interview, WWE’s Triple H gives some more information about who knew about Reigns’ struggles with leukemia.

Appearing on New York’s Elvis Duran Show, Triple H gave his first comments on Roman Reigns’ battle with leukemia. Triple H would explain why Reigns wanted to keep his illness as quiet as possible.

“This is something that very few people know about this he and I have spoken about this, this is something he did not want to put out there until he had reached a certain point in time in his career because he didn’t want people to feel like he was being pitied or given things for a certain reason. He wanted to be able to come out at the end and be like ‘Look, I dealt with this the whole time, you can do anything. This is not an end sentence, you know’.”

During the interview, Triple H would explain that Reigns felt now was the right time and way to reveal his battle with leukemia.

Yesterday, reports surfaced that only handful of people and no wrestlers in the locker room knew about Reigns’ announcement on Raw.

At the end of the day, WWE booking decisions aside, Reigns just wanted to be treated like everyone of his fellow wrestlers.
